End of September 2013 update based on information received from Site Manager Mehmet and those currently in residence at The Pines which includes Jennifer Bowden:
1. COMMUNAL AREAS & GARDENS:
Continuing to look good despite a short period of patchy grass at the beginning of the month. This was the result of a drop in well water production that has since recovered as has the grass.
2. POOL:
No problems reported.
3. REFINERY:
No problem reported.
4. WATER WELL:
As already stated, after a drop in water production earlier this month it has now recovered enough to keep the garden and outer areas sufficiently watered.
5. 2013/14 MAINTENANCE FEES:
All due fees for this period now in so thank you very much everyone!
6. ARREARS:
Great progress on the recovery of a significant amount relating to back fees and we are highly confident that more will follow shortly.
7. ITEMS BEING CONSIDERED BY YOUR COMMITTEE:
-
Site Insurance for Pool, Refinery & Well
Full set of quotes now being sort for pool, well and refinery only which will hopefully be received by next update.
-
Site Wi-Fi
Feasibility and costings being explored – will report in next update.
-
Block Painting
Being considered and if approved will be delivered in two stages. Stage 1, inner block painting during autumn / winter with Stage 2, outer block painting actioned towards the end of this fee period. This is a very popular project but we have to consider what we do about the non payers as patchwork spending on debtors apartments is morally wrong however to excluded will make that site look like a and so a dilemma and will be reported on again in the next update.
-
Water Policy
As a result of the installation of the new well it has been decided that as a result of feedback from an owner we the committee create guidelines for how, who and when this water can be used. This policy is currently in draft under review by the committee and will be ready for communication in the next update.
8. OWNERS USE OF WEBSITE FOR ADVERTISMENT OF APARTMENTS FOR RENT:
Various members of the committee have been in receipt of some lovely feedback this spring and summer from holiday makers which have included a large number of renters. Many stated that they would like to return to The Pines but were not sure how to find which apartments were available for rental; all of course were given the details of our website as this is where some owners already advertise their apartments for rent. It therefore follows that if you would like to your details added to the site please let the committee know and your details will be added.
9. PINES WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY:
It has become apparentthat The Pines is becoming a multi-cultural community and so we are pleased to announce that with a help from Lyn and Google Translate the website is now accessible in many languages including Turkish and Russian. The language converter is very intuitive and can be found at the top of each page.
REMINDER:

Feedback, as always, very welcome.
