Also known as the “Panhandle” of Cyprus, The Karpas has got to be one of the last remaining areas of unspoilt beauty on the island.
It’s a bit of a trek to get there – about 3 hours from Lapta – so if you go, consider an overnight stay to break up your journey and make the most of your time in this region.
The Karpas is famous for its wild donkeys which you’ll see roaming around, as well as its unspoilt, deserted beaches.
We can recommend staying at the Arch House – it’s an old converted building with lots of character. There are one or two restaurants in the village of Dipkarpas itself but otherwise it’s a lovely unspoilt region of Cyprus to discover.
